Choosing a proxy at CoxVPN

How is a proxy different from a VPN?

A VPN pass covers a whole device. Once you switch it on, every app on that phone or laptop runs through our encrypted tunnel. A proxy is set per request instead. Your software chooses which requests use it, and two requests in a row can exit in different countries.

That's why proxies fit jobs like collecting prices, seeing which ads run in another market, watching local search rankings, previewing localized pages, and keeping a few platform accounts apart within the platform's rules.

Which of the four should I pick?

Start from the site you're connecting to. Where server IPs get through, datacenter is the budget choice. If it blocks hosting ranges, choose residential or static ISP.

  • Residential: pay per GB, $0.34 on small orders and $0.232 at 2,000 GB, with rotating or sticky household IPs in 60 countries
  • Unlimited residential: the same home IPs by the day with no GB meter, $4.02 a day, $3.06 on 90 days or more
  • Static ISP: one provider IP only you use, 60 countries, from $0.19 per IP a month on a 1-month term
  • Datacenter: the lowest price, $0.08 per IP a month at 500+ on a 1-month term, with server IPs in 18 countries

How do I pay?

Each product page has its own order controls. Add the result to the cart; VPN passes can go in the same cart. At /cart, log in and pay the whole cart from your balance at once. Balance is topped up in crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC), $5 at minimum, and it can't be withdrawn.

Paid orders show in My info under My passes: Activating while we set them up, Active when they're ready. Should activation fail, we put every cent back into your balance. When the term or days run out, the proxy stops and nothing is charged again.

How do I connect?

All four types share one gateway, gate.coxvpn.online, with port 6100 for HTTP or HTTPS and 6200 for SOCKS5. Your first order creates one proxy username (it begins with cx) and one password for the account, shown in My passes. Traffic from allowlisted IPv4 addresses (10 at most) skips the password check.

Options go into the username as hyphenated parts. zone sets the type (res, unl, isp or dc), cc the country and city the city. sid names a sticky session and ttl sets its length in minutes. Using any proxy for spam, fraud, credential stuffing or attacks is banned, and you still have to follow the rules of the sites you reach.

Common questions

Does a VPN pass come with proxies?

No. They're sold separately. What they share is the account, the cart and the balance.

Should I get a VPN or a proxy?

To protect your own phone or computer, get a VPN pass. If a script or tool needs many IPs, or IPs in specific countries, get a proxy.

What's the cheapest option?

Datacenter, if your target accepts server IPs: $0.08 per IP a month for 500 or more on a 1-month term. Where it gets blocked, look at residential: $0.34 a GB on small orders, $0.232 once the order hits 2,000 GB.

What happens to my money if an order can't be activated?

The whole payment returns to your balance, and you can spend it on another proxy or a VPN pass.

Can my browser use the proxy?

Yes. Put gate.coxvpn.online, the port and your proxy login into the browser's or the operating system's proxy settings. A few browsers can't pass a proxy username and password without an add-on.
