Which encryption protects my traffic?

It depends on the protocol you choose.

Pick WireGuard and the cipher is ChaCha20; pick OpenVPN or IKEv2 and it's AES-256-GCM. Both ciphers are public and have been in wide use for years. We have not had an outside security audit yet.
