Install and switch on
- 1Settle the VPN pass in your cart from your balance.
- 2Log in on coxvpn.online in Safari and open the Get the apps tab in My info.
- 3Install CoxVPN by following the iPhone and iPad notes on that tab.
- 4Launch the app and log in with your email and password, or with your account token.
- 5A system sheet pops up about a new VPN profile. Approve it, then confirm with your face, finger or code.
- 6Choose a city, then press the round switch in the middle of the screen.
What will the screen show?
Everything fits on one page: the round switch, your saved favorites and the full city list. WireGuard comes preselected and suits daily use. On a train or bus where coverage keeps dropping, IKEv2, which iOS supports natively, often keeps the session alive longer.
On Plus or Pro, blocking for ads, trackers and malicious sites reaches every app on the phone, games and news readers included. Requests are screened on our DNS servers before anything loads.
Settings worth switching on
Auto reconnect. Whenever the phone wakes or jumps from Wi-Fi to cellular, the VPN returns without you opening anything. People who join lots of public hotspots notice this the most.
Worried about battery life? Stick with WireGuard, the lightest of the three protocols when running in the background.
No VPN badge at the top
Under VPN & Device Management in General settings, the CoxVPN profile needs the checkmark. Already ticked and still dead? Remove the profile there, then log in once more so the app recreates it.
Battery saver can make iOS slow to restore the tunnel after the phone sits unused. Opening the app once is usually enough to bring the tunnel back.
