When is Double VPN worth turning on?
Use it on a network you have doubts about while you handle something sensitive, such as sending documents over unfamiliar Wi-Fi. You can also use it any time you just want one more step between you and the site.
Video, search and gaming are better on one server. With one server your traffic is still fully encrypted and your real IP is still covered, only quicker.
Which server knows what?
The first server sees your IP but not where the traffic goes. The second server talks to the website but does not know who sent the traffic. All the website ever gets is the exit address.
Neither server keeps logs, so there are no two records for anyone to match up.
How much speed will I lose?
That depends on the route. Two servers close together, like Seoul and Tokyo, cost little. A route from Asia to Europe adds much more delay, and you will see pages open more slowly.
When you need speed again, go back to a single server. You can switch between the two any time.
How do I connect with Double VPN?
Plus and Pro both have it. The server screen will get its own Double VPN tab, and each route will list its first and second city. You will see this once our apps are out.
Your kill switch, filters and protocol stay set the way you had them.
- Open the server screen and choose the Double VPN tab
- Pick a route, such as Seoul to Tokyo
- Press Connect
